Message	Lost titles and dealing with DMV are some of the most frustrating problems i have had to deal with related to cars.It may not help 91twinturboZ but should be an example for others to keep their car title in a safe secure location .I learned this long ago and every car i buy the title goes in a locked strong box the minute i return to my office .My best advice in this situation is to get all the necessary forms needed to apply for a duplicate title and bring them to the previous owner and have him sign them and take them to the DMV .(it isnt his fault you lost it so make it as easy on him as possible)Also check if a power of attorney is necessary for you to process this .It is needed in N.J. .GOOD LUCK!!
