just got car back thursday from getting my rear main seal replaced. while i was at it i replaced my clutch(clutch kit,pressure plate,bushing,bearing), and flywheel, which i purchased from coz,which by the way saved me a couple of hundred!! nissan quoted me 508$ for a new flywheel, damn!! total for parts was right under ($400)
after dropping he tranny and starting to replace flywheel, they gave me a call and said the flywheel i gave them was from a tt, damn!!!!! gave coz a call and he confirmed it was a mistake, (everyone makes mistakes, i forgave him. lol) i had to order another flywheel from vince, and had to overnight it to san antonio ($50). total labor for all this was about ($422) which i though was pretty good the reason it was in the shop in the first place was because my car stranded me!!! had to tow the car to nissan, which the front end got scratched in the process, trying to get it onto the tow truck. finding out either my slave or master cylinder gave out. nissan replaced both and labor for about ($200) nissan told me one was out but they had to replace both because something about the pressure of the new one would screw up the other one, so i think they screwed me here, but i figured might as well replace them both, so it's too late now anywayzzz -------------extra info for anybody with hesitation-----------
last of all i asked them to retap one of my spark plug holes on the plenum. i've had hesitation problems since i bought the car, and i've cleaned sensor,throttle bodies,replaced plugs,cleaned air filter, and so on, and have never found out what the problem was until i received another call from nissan telling my my (i beleive "coil pack") was broke, i didn't beleive them until i saw it, i can't beleive i had never seen it before. it's the part that goes over the plug on the plenum, right under the pack itself it had been broken so the wire was exposed. they replace that and retaped the plug, and installed the rest of the plugs, because it was going to be the same price. well, after 3 days which was supposed to be 2, but my little incedent with "wrong flywheel!!!!!!!!!!!!!" lol
my z is now running like new!!! feels totally different, i guess i should expect that with all these parts new. i had felt a slight rough idle, with i guess the plug being cross threaded and the coil pack broke, now idles smooooooooooooooth!! and bigger than sh%#$ my hesitation problem is gone! yeahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! all in all 3 dayzz and ($800)bucks in the hole, my car feels like new(not that i know how a new z drives but...) and i feel releived, well here's my receipts if you can take a look and see if you think they screwed me, i'd appreciate it, and any thoughtzzz
