I store it in the same box it came in. The plastic handle has never given me trouble. Of course, I baby the thing, keep it clean, and always always always return it to the "stop" setting after I use it, even if I'm going to use it again in 30 minutes.
Note to ZiNnYc: there is no warranty at all on torque wrenches. Ask at the store. Torque wrenches are an exception to the warranty. So baby yours when you get it.
