If Valentine hadn't patented the arrows, I think every radar detector would have them. It is an advantage because it is more information. Personally, I've never had arrows, but if they were there I'd glance at them, at least at first. Enough people rave about them that every company would put them on their detector if they weren't patented. With my Bel, the audio feedback is excellent, I don't even need to look at the detector anymore to know what radar band is in use and how strong the signal is. If it had arrows, I probably would glance at it nonetheless. I am happy with my Bel and don't plan to buy V1. If the price came down and the styling were less garish, maybe I'd get V1 if when the Bel wears out. Until then, no thanks.
