I was heading to class tonight, I had a final in statistics (Statistics in Business II). I was driving my beater '82 280ZX. By beater, I really mean that it is beaten. The front fascia is supported by duct tape and although the paint isn't in horrible condition, it wouldn't be what I call a "clean" car. So anyway, I slow at a red light to make a right turn. The light turns green as I'm still moving (I'm about 20 feet from the light, and there are cars in the lane next to heading straight) I make my right turn only to hear a horn, and have just enough time to swerve toward the curb that my driver's side door is barely clipped. We pull over and I notice that it was an SDG&E van that hit me. He ran the red. He got out of his van (looked to be in late 20's, and had a mullet) and looked like he was about to cry. He said he had just started working there and wasn't sure of the procedures. I assessed the damage (dent in my driver's side door) and realized that I can remove the door panel and fix it pretty easily. I was going to get his information just in case but his bottom lip started to quiver. I told him to have a nice day and then went to class. Aced the final BTW.
