Message So I'm in Santa Barbara just walking along State Street (kinda the strip in that town). Apparently I was parked in a 15 minute parking zone, but there were no signs, and neither myself nor my girlfriend spotted anything that would tell us that we were not in a normal parking zone.

So we come back to the car 4 hours later and I notice that I have a ticket on my windshield. I walk over and notice that, not only did I get a ticket for parking too long in a 15 minute zone, but I also got a ticket for not having the "month" sticker on my rear license plate, AND a ticket for not having a front license plate.

Total fine? $125, but the month sticker ticket and the no front license plate ticket are fix-it tickets. I figure I'll get the month sticker (it must have fallen off??) and put it on my rear license plate and have the ticket signed off. I'll bite the bullet on the no front license plate ticket, because I'm not drilling into my Z's bumper.

I go to the DMV and get the month sticker. I put it on my rear license plate. I wait half an hour to get the ticket signed off at the DMV, then some idiot walks about and tells me he won't sign off on the ticket. I ask why, and he says because I don't have a front license plate. I said I was aware of this, but the citation is for not having a month sticker on my REAR license plate, not for not having a front license plate.

So, the bozo tells me that the DMV will not sign off on ANY fix it tickets now unless the entire car is perfect. That includes front license plates, rear license plates, even engines.

Then he tells me to open up my hood....that's when I about lost my patience.

I told him to forget it and left. So, I guess I'll just pay the full $125.

Point of story? Watch where you park!!
