| wll refuse to inspect the car if it doesn't have a front plate. I've also been pulled over once for no front plate by the police. Not worth the hassle to go through this, so I keep the front plate on. It doesn't "ruin" the front appearance of the Z. And to make matters more frustrating, MA still allows people with older "green" plates to use them on the rear only - the state only issued one plate per car so there's no front plate in this situation. Many of these older plates (that I've seen) are worn/faded to the point that they are hardly readable. If MA was so intent on everyone having front plates, they should require the "green" plate owners to turn the old one's in for a new pair. *steps down from soapbox* Dave
