At the time I didn't really care at all about cars - they took me from point A to point B. I enjoyed looking at several exotics (namely the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo), but nothing past the occasional researching...though I always hated the "ricer" scene, the annoying exhaust tips, and the like. There was a sophomore at my school who drove a red 300zx twin turbo, with a beautiful exhaust. I came to school one day, passed it, parked like I normally do, and then went to go look at it. It was a five speed, with a slightly custom interior, had the 90-93 spoiler, and the B&B quad exhaust. Everything else was completely stock. I fell in love. Ever since then, I've wanted to own one, but actually have never even ridden in a 300zx, let alone drive one. I couldn't get one in high school due to insurance and the lack of finding a good condition Z. My dad also didn't want me to get a TT, because (rightfully so) he didn't want to give a kid that...which I can definitely understand now. Now, I'm finishing up my sophomore year in college. I'm still looking, but know that I won't be able to get exactly what I want before I graduate unless a miracle deal drops in my lap. I also know (and I've talked to my dad about it), that it would pretty much stay in his garage until I graduate, with the exception of the lucky weekends I could go home...there's no sense in bringing it to a college campus to get destroyed. I've researched, researched, I've got memorabilia around my room, I made an illuminated rear center panel for my Z once I get it (nice guide), and I drive my girlfriend crazy. She claims that most men think about sex every seven (or eight, I don't know) seconds, I think about the z32. I've driven other reasonably fast cars (nothing too exotic, or over 400hp), but nothing really satisfies me. I'd rather sit in my room and look at my collection of about 4,000 pictures, all in organized folders, or read one of the articles (I'm nearly positive I have close to ~95% of all that were made *on my computer) of the 300zx. Now, I know I will probably take a lot of heat simply because of the fact that I have never even ridden in a 300zx, but I know that nothing about it could ever disappoint me... As my girlfriend tells me, the license plate (once I finally get it) should be MYOBZEZN.
