Message I think that a properly built sr20det could produce quite a bit of power, probably more than most z's have. I have heard of a z in japan with a sr20 swap and that car made about 600rwhp. you also could do a rb26dett which would make tons of power, but a sr would be cheaper. I think it would be a good idea you could fit a huge turbo and tubular manifold that could replace the 3 liter displacement of the vg30. I have considered doing this in a lightened race only car. good luck. Also just so you don't frown upon the idea of a 4 cylinder, many supras in japan junk the 2jz and drop the mr2 motot in it because it can make lots of power and is a lot lighter. The sr20 is one of nissan's best and strongest motors and would probably do great in a Z.
