Message I've dissassembled six intake sprockets and from what I can tell, the VTC spring has little effect in preventing the noise that occurs after installing higher pressure valve springs.

The better approach is to fix the problem at the source and open up the sprocket to install a higher pressure spring inside of it (yes, there is another one in there and it has a direct effect on the VTC operation). Since the sprockets are sealed from the factory it's not easy to get to this internal spring so I am making a bolt on back that will incorporate adjustability into the sprocket as well.

I'm hoping to be able to offer fully rebuilt intake sprockets with the above mods I mentioned on an exchange basis for somewhere around $395... Hopefully by the end of this year. For now, here's a couple of pictures.
