Message	732 is a 2 stage black pearl (basecoat black pearl with a clearcoat).The difference between black metalic and black pearl are the flakes(flecks) Metalic flakes are small aluminum oxide chips that reflect light(like micro mirrors) ,Pearl flakes are small mica flakes that refract the light(like the cover of the Pink Floyd album ) .White Pearl on the other hand is a 3 step process with a solid white base and a pearl mid coat with a clear coat on top .Most all of the newer cars(90+) call the "metallic" colors pearl.
