Perhaps a better test is to measure the intake air temp before and after the intercooler at various PSI levels on the same car with different intercooler setups ( all other things equal - same day, same cool down period between runs, etc ). As a by product the corresponding rwhp could be noted. This can be done with the stockers and the Z1 intercoolers. For a comparison, others could do the same ( stockers as compared to Stillen , or Greddy ). The comparison from one test to another would be the amount of variance in readings not the actual max values themselves. The only issue for comparisons from one independant test to another that I see ( off the top of my head ) are different turbo setups as each turbo variant will compress air differently. ** or maybe an easier thing to do is just compare max area under the curve pre intercooler install and post intercooler install ** ... just some quick thoughts, back to work for me ...
