Message at idle (or near idle) to keep the cats hot. The ECU delivers 8% more fuel when they are operating. The exhaust pulsations create a small vacuum and the AIV lets outside air get drawn in during the low pressure phase.

LEave them in, they wont hurt anything.

Thge gurgling is water in the filter element component of the AIV unit.

They are behind the plastic in the wheel well closest to the cabin.

: There are 2 of them correct? One in each wheel well? Towards the front bumper? What do they do and what are my options with them? I plan on cleaning them and drilling a hole in 'em. I do hear a gurgling at idle.

: Thanks
