I bought an 03 ZO6 in 4/05 for $36k, 12k miles, electron blue metallic. It was extremely mint, and at the time I could have gotten a silver or black one for a few grand cheaper. It was rear-ended and totalled a few months later, and with the $40k check I got from State Farm I bought my current 91TT instead of another ZO6(I spent a pretty penny to buy a low mileage TT). I had owned a TTZ before and liked it more than the ZO6.... Although, that C5 ZO6 was a monster of a car and I wouldn't mind having one again. The extra $25k I had left over I put away for a rainy day... or it probably will get spent on the Z someday.
