thanks bigtime to canyoncarver, ashman, and audioquest... you guys were dead on. flooded engine was the culprit. i then followed the suggested procedures and she fired right up. dunno what i'd do without this site... probab. own a damn beetle by now =P haha. what's equally as good, i found the source of my hissing sound too! there were two small nipples right below the throttle bodies with hoses that were completely detached. vacuum lines i presume? just to make sure, these are suppose to be attached right? don't wanna blow anything up =P anyways, i plugged them both back in and no more whistle or hissing. woohoo! hooray for double digit gas mileage, haha... couldn't contain my excitement and took her for a spin. damn, i am NOT going beyond stage 3. heck i don't even have an exhaust installed yet and its still scary to me. lol. anyway, thanks again for all your help. pics of the alleged TT to come, i promise =) THANK YOU!!
