"you guys rock!" Thanks :now for question set #2: suspension/exhaust. again, please answer one or more if you can. :1. if the car was intentionally lowered, will that affect the sport/touring mode?
After market shocks disable the switch. I have eibachs and stock shocks and I can still feel a difference when I flip teh switch. :2. are the bridgestone potenzas on the loud/rough side? maybe its the suspension? No clue, but I love my Toyo's. :3. how can you tell if its a stiff aftermarket suspension setup vs. blown shocks/springs?
As dogpile said Look at them. Also if u push on a car with blown shocks usually it will bounce up and down for a while before settling. (tested on a minivan never a Z.) :4. is removing exhaust a DIY job? wanna swap exhausts between my NA (stillens) and TT (stock). Swapping yourself is a PITA, especially without a shop setup and not knowing how caked on the bolts are. If you're planning on doing it anytime soon in this cold ur nuts. I would just bring it to a shop make them a small offer to swap it and be done with it. :5. exhaust smells pretty strong. how can you tell if its from gutted cats or running rich? similar odor? running rich smells more like gas. i think gutted cats might smell similar, not sure though. Get testpipes. :and lastly, when you open the bonnet above the speedometer, there is a little black plastic box in the center rear that clips to a harness. :is this one of the speed sensors? my TT speedometer is somewhat erratic so thinking of switching parts over from my NA. thanks again! I don't think its a speed sensor. I had my Speedo go bad and that had nothing to do with it. Bought a used one and swapped it, problem solved. PS, now that you have a Z again you're cool enough to hang out with. I'm gonna try to make the meet in PA but being that its my birthday I'm up in the air about it.
