i know it was probably meant as a joke but hear it from a nyc driver in a TT for the past few months... boostin in the streets of NYC, dangerous...not for you cause well like said above you do need to boost a bit to avoid the traffic and other cars or you can sit at a corner or intersection for hours waiting to be UR turn to go.....but you will also encounter many a pot-holes that you may not know are there when driving a bit too fast...thus causing bent rims and or suspension damager or even scraping the exhaust.
but to answer at least one of the questions posed: 1) rough mpg in nyc driving is around 12-14mpg but thats not under heavy boost all the time cause that's just not sane
