| After routing the pipes in every hairbrained way possible, I came to the decision that cylinder 5 should be merged immediately to the collector without attempting a pipe section. The radius required to do so was so tight, and the degrees of bend so great, the restriction would've been huge. The turbo flange is located so close to cylinder port 5 that a good port outlet and good collector want to take up the same space. So what do you do... destroy port5's outlet to make way for a collector, or destroy the collector to make way for port5. Considering runner 5 is already compromised by the snailshell bend neither is really worth it. The front two runners enjoy complete separation until the collector. A big effort was also made to prevent a big change in cross sectional area in the collector as it disrupts flow.

Daily driving a TT is like ordering your favorite pizza for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's not healthy and eventually you will lose the magic of the meal. Sometimes you just have to have some meatloaf. My new meatloaf.... 1994 Black Honda Civic DX :D what? It looks a little stumpy, but fits great in the hand! (n/m) - ZEngineer 12/12/06 |
