I had parked my gf's 3 day old TL in front of her office when I notice an Armada pull up next to it. Out pops this 5x5 woman who dents the hell out of the my driver door with her passenger door. I approach the driver and ask him if it was completely neccesary to park so close to my car (I know it wasn't my car, but, you know) and that his passenger had dented my door. The driver was at first calm and cooperative and aggreed to pay for the damages if I could prove that his driver damaged the door. So we walk over to his passenger door and open it. Since it was 1/16" above the damage, the driver claims the damage was there and it was not his fault. The woman starts yelling at me saying that I was somehow discriminating against her and that I was pulling a scam. I said to her that I was discussing this matter with this gentleman and had nothing to say to her. I had to bite my tongue because I wanted to say when you exited the vehicle, the suspension returned to it's normal height and that is why it is lower than your door, except with much more colorful wording. At this point, I decided I could repair the dent in it's current condition. So rather than have her get back in the truck to prove my point and further crease the dent, I told the driver to just give me his insurance info so we could let them work it out. The driver pulls out, lets the woman in and then they took off. I'm like, wtf?!? The funny thing is that my girlfriend, Ann is her name, would never have noticed the dent if I didn't point it out to her. I still have to fix it. End of story
