First you say this: The AAE cast iron manifolds have matched openings to the gasketand later this: you need to port match the cylinder heads to the manifolds to really tap their potential. This also applies to the AAE manifolds as they also have larger openings in the manifold inlets, but not as much so. So which is it, or what exactly are you saying?? Perhaps you should have run the AAE test with a gasket as well, even if it is close to port-matched, just to eliminate any confusion? If I followed you correctly, the MS mani's were tested with and without the gasket because the ports are larger than the gasket, and the AAE mani's were only tested without a gasket despite having ports slightly larger than the gasket.
