If you just want it for a uniform appearance when you have the hood up (read: anal rententive) then it's a toss up. I've seen some incredible detailing work that people have done without repainting or pulling the motor - it's just a matter of patience and doing a lot of tedious work. Plus you risk scratching your new paint (both under the hood and the exterior) when you put the motor back in. Is it worth the risk to you? Dave
