Message the aviation industry and diesel. Look at the top fuel dragsters that use the 6-71 blower. The 6-71 blower comes from the 2 stroke Detroit Diesel 6-71. Which is a six cylinders and 71 cubic inches each cylinder. They also make a 8-71 and 12-71 . It use the blower for cylinder port scavenging. The cylinder liner has ports on the bottom which get uncovered when the piston reaches the bottom of t its stroke. The Detroit only has intake valves. They are normally aspirated with just the blower. To make them forced induction they add a turbo which forces air through the intake valves. I worked on a custom bus that had a V12-71 twin turbocharged Detroit. I don't remember the horsepower of the motor. But a long hill does make that motor blink.
