| I had just sold my NA and was looking for a TT. I was looking on ebay and saw this nice looking red Z but the starting bid was $8500. I moved on and two weeks later while searching Ebay there it was again. So I called the FORD dealership who had it for sale in South Carolina. Yes I live in Texas. I told him I would offer him $7500 + TT&L. He laughed and said "no way". I told him he had no bids in 2 weeks and to ask his boss. He told me he'd ask and call me back but they were looking for $10k. I told him in the meantime to send me more pics and the vin#. After a carfax search I found the previous owner's name. I then called every Nissan Dealer in the area within 100 miles of that Ford dealer. I found the one that had serviced the car. I had the service manager fax me all the documents he had on the car. The car had just had new turbos installed, KYB shocks, Stillen sways, Eibach springs and 120k service. Anyway the dealer called me back and said they would do it for $7500 bucks!! I managed to get them to pay for half of the shipping to Texas. After I closed the deal over the phone I thought what the Fu#k did I just do? That all changed when the car showed up to my house in an enclosed trailer and it was in fantastic shape. All it had was a code 34 but a knock sensor bypass later and no more saftey boost. BTW-The car showed up on December 31st 2003 <--My Birthday and 2 weeks after my daughter was born. It was a great December.
