Message	when I put the engine back together there was no oil leaks. Within a week oil started leaking from oil pan seal. Also our block is cast/machined in such a way that it already "scrapes" the crank. This crank scraper didn't any significant area at all. Might be worthwhile to get a custom one made if you have a knife-edged crank, but might be difficult to get the oil pan to seal properly.
