Message too, I never power shifted it or anything like that, but it did have a slight syncro issue from 3rd to 4th that was %99 gone when I swapped out the fluid, this tranny only had 60K miles on it and about 15K miles on it were with stage 3 or more power. Anyways.. I had to replace it over the summer when it was getting work done to it over at IPS Motorsports in Columbus, (60k, Stage V, 4.10's), when I picked it up the 1st time I noticed a faint whine that would only go away when the clutch was in, but only if the car was stationary. To shorten this up, it ended up being parts of the reverse gear and that assembly. After talking with a few places I decided to go with the 97+ tranny, brand new.

So far so good. I was planning on shooting for 11's this spring but now I think I'm having 2nd thoughts.

It seems with most non bullet proof trany's its all about not shocking the tranny and making cleans shifts all the time. So after much thought I've decided to take the 4.10's out when I do my engine build and turbo upgrade to take the car from a 1/4 setup to more of a Hwy luxo GT.

Thanks for all your help to this great community.

Best of luck,

Chase DeFelice
