before for $2000 ....and what is in it now. --wes : There seems to be interest for the Porsche GT2 992 brake upgrade for the Z. Some people asked if they only could get the adapters but they aren't sold seperately. There have to made special modifications to the caliper which has to be done at a CNC machine and can NOT be done by hand! This custom work has a precision of 0.01 inch otherwise you WILL get problems with the brakes and for this reason we DON'T let you experiment with your calipers! : Another *problem* mentioned were the shipping cost to the US that could get a bit high. Because the brakediscs and the brakepads are just *normal* Porsche parts which can be bought at any local Porsche dealer in the US my contact in Germany decided to change the groupbuy. He can sell the Porsche GT brake kit with the adjusted calipers, hub adapters, caliper brackets and all mounting hardware for $1400. This way you will save about 20 lbs on shipping!
: The calipers are made of aluminum and the hub adapters are made of the highest quality stainless steel so the total weight won't be too high. Note: these adapters are NOT the Mov-it adapters!! These have a much better design and come with high grade (12.9) bolts for caliper and brakediscs mounting. The complete kit contains: : 2 adjusted Porsche 993 GT2 brake calipers
: 2 stainless steel hub adapters
: 2 chromed mountingbrackets for the calipers
: all bolts for the discs and calipers are grade 12.9 : There are now 10 cars in Germany who have this kit fitted and they are all amazed about the stopping power of this kit!
