Message now, I've been reading the posts about all the different turbos and I'm waiting on a set that will bolt up and make 400-410hp each(flywheel)....anywayz....if the 18g's for the "z" are the same ones for DSM's I can give you guyz a little insight. I've got a TDO5-18G(ported and 15 degree clipped wheel) on my 1G eclispe...supposedly an 18G(unclipped) is good for 400hp(flywheel)...It's not a popular turbo among the DSM guyz... I don't know why...maybe because of lag. My turbo hits full boost(17psi...for now =)) at 4200rpm's, and then you get aanother kick in the a$$ at 5000r's, the turbo seems to have serious top end power, and I contribute some of the lag to the 15 degree clip on the wheel, so I would guess if you were to put this setup on a "z", you wouldn't want a 15 degree clip, maybe 5 or possibly 10...but the ported housing can't hurt. I would expect more lag considering on the "z" only 3 cylinders with 1.5l of displacement will be spooling the turbos versus 2.0l of 4 banger power spooling one. Im waiting for this fred guy to post some results, because this is the setup that I want to go with, And since my car is a semi-daily driver I'm gonna go for the 15 degree clip too...I don't mind some lag when i'm rewarded with a serious top end rush. I hope this helps somewhat, I've tried to be un-biased, but I really like this turbo... I've been in a 16G equipped eclispe with more supporting mods than mine, and I would run off and leave that car from a rolling start(mine is fwd, the other is awd). just my $0.02 . peace.

No, its just a pressurized n/a 300zx.
