Message either, but we know that hardly ever happens. What Kai did was no different than what an officer would have done if in the same situation, so where's the difference? (BTW, a Z handles MUCH better than a Crown Vic does, and I'd be willing to bet Kai in his Z would run circles around any crown vic, regardless of it it were driven by any professional driver given Kai's driving experience in his Z).

Anyone can generalize a law and say what the "public" should be able to do and what they can't do, but realistically speaking, you would have to look at the specifics of this situation to realize that it was probably better that this idiot hit Kai in his Z rather than a police officer in a crown vic (obviously not for Kai's sake of damage to his vehicle, but from a situational safety standpoint).
