Message around the wire connectors and the switch button contacts.
Two screws on the front side of the shifter loosen the T handle to access the od switch.

Also check the overdrive control solenoid and the obvious,
check the fluid level.

Beyond that, relay? Not sure if there is one for the slush box, never looked in FSM.

If you have an electrical tester, check the solenoid. After doing the basics, the dredded trip to the shop. Trade GOOG to pay for the work.
