Message It is the best sedan platform performance car, but it can't touch the other three. The NSX, Z and Supra are in their own class, the M3 is still a sedan, always will be.

The M3 feels nice in its own "comfy" way but thats it. It feels small, but many people mistake that for being "excellent handling," due to the fact that it also can go fast. The M3 does have more feedback through the steering wheel(its sad that these japanese exotics never inherited this) and its brakes aren't bad for its size, but take it to the track buddy, its a whole other ball game. It is decently powered, but any of the three other sports cars we are talking about will blow off at least two of its doors in a drag race(stock vs stock).

I think when the M3 got that award for being the "best handling car in the world," it was given by many middle to older age men who are finding a niche in a more serene "sporty" car, one that can do most things more athletic cars do, but still offer more plushness and comfort to make up for slightly less capabitlity. The M3 is the "best compromise."

BTW, I have much experience with e36 BMWs, M3s and all other kinds of 3's. Based on time in all these cars, this is my opinion.

Take care,

Salah
