Message first i would like to apologize, i couldnt post this under the original thread poster's post because it said the thread has been locked, but i felt that this should be said.

i am also from the chicago area and decided to have my motor rebuilt using UltimateZ and their off store machine shop never reading or hearing anything bad about the company. i sent my motor to them in Mid June with an expected finish time of 1 month as told by chris. it is now almost mid december and the motor still has not been completed.

i also had to call several times a week and have never received one phone call from chris or anybody at ultimatez no matter how many times he has told me he would back sameday or within the next couple of days.

after listening over and over it should be a few more weeks and the run-a-round about how the machine shop is backed up, waiting on some seals to come in to finish, blah blah...i was finally told a few weeks ago that one of the heads was too far out of spec to be used. this is the same head that i ordered used from Z1 motorsports in June because this head was the whole reason i was getting my motor rebuilt. the exhaust cam had seized up due to what i think was a failed oil pump. so...as of right now i am still awaiting my motor to be done but supposedly the passenger side head and bottom end has been completed.

its just funny to hear about the holding hand ordeal and the lack of customer service or timely order of things.

i thought you may like to head my experiences with ultimatez and my motor rebuild through them. if i could do it over again i would simply go through another company like Kyle @ IPP and pay the shipping charges.

i cannot comment on the quality of the work yet as my motor is still not complete.

Sorry about the dirty Z and alley picture. This is the farthest the car has made it out of the garage in a little over a year. :)
