Message I've been out of the loop recently due to a death in the family but as of about noon today anyone who has sent emails to us should be recieving their responses. We appreciate your patience in this time.

I managed to finally make it to the flowbench with the Stillen SMIC that has been modified with 2.5" inlets and outlets which was sent for testing by Woody (Tim O'Connor). Big thanks to him for helping us out with this. Good results were found - please check the tech forum for the results:

Last week when machining the adapter flange casting to mount the exhaust manifolds to the flowbench, the milling bit jammed up and broke a sacrificial gear in the gearbox. I recieved the replacment and the mill is back up and running so I hope to complete that tonight and be to the flowbench tomorrow to get the numbers on manifolds: stock, Mike Smith, and Abeler.

The test will be performed using a pull-through where the turbine mounting flange will be attached to the flowbench and air will be sucked through the manifold. In our findings, it makes no difference if you blow-through or suck through a component - the measurements from the flowbench will be the same. This also makes it easier to attach the manifold to the bench as it will require only one adapter flange with a bolt pattern suited for the OEM manifolds to attach it, and blockoff plates for the runner inlets will be used to allow testing of each runner independently.

I will be taking a good number of pictures of this test so that the results can be inspected to make everyone happy. More to come.....
