Message	Actually probably the newer model whatever that is, but mine has a 10x optical zoom, takes mpeg movies with sound too. It also has a 40x digital telephoto which looks surprisingly great if you've got a tripod or really steady hands. :-) Of course, it also has the 100x digital zoom, which as you stated is pretty crappy when printed but makes a nice makeshift binocular. :-) If you're looking for a "simple" camera with nice features I'd recommend it.
