| I deal with professional photographer's all the time in my line of work, and I can tell you the photographer's skills have much more to do with getting a great shot than the price or type of a camera they are using in 95% of situations. Today's digital cameras have so many "extras" that it's hard not to take decent pictures with them if you can look through a viewfinder and read a manual. Tripod helps too. Knowing the proper angles and mastering the lighting on shiny metallic surfaces is the key to a good "still life" car shot. FWIW - I have a 2 year old Olympus C770 4mp and have been very happy with it. I'm sure the newer 6 or 7mp pixel cameras will be just as good.
