Message off ebay, and go with one of our site vendors.

I surf ebay almost everyday for Used OEM parts, and the occasional aftermarket product...I'm casually gathering parts for TT swap, or to TT my NA block (still not decided which)

Anyway, I was looking at this turbo timer:

I thought the item description was a bit funny:

"You are bidding on a 300zx Pocket Turbo Timer. Item is from Japan, easily installed or any professional can install this item. This item is a very small, easy to mount timer that is meant for a TT model but can be used for the upgraded NT models. This item is digital and programable and measures approximately 2" by 4" by 1". Payments can be made by Paypal or Cashiers cheque/money orders only please. Once item recieved please leave positive feedback and I will do the same. Happy Bidding!! "

What caught my attention was "but can be used for the upgraded NT models"

So I emailed the guy asking if and how it would help me with my 'highly' modded NA

He said:

"Definitely. This will stabalize your engine after runig it hard being able to setit for what ever amount of time you want your engine to filter after removeing the keys. Hope this helps. "

So I asked the guy to shed some light on that for me, he said:

"For the turbo's it helps reduce the film that ends up in the inter cooler by continually running the engine so it flushes the oil build-up through. The same concept goes for the NT as the engine cools and flushes itself while cooling before you shut it down where as if shut off immediately all the gas and oil sits creating build up in the engine/hoses etc."

So clearly this guy either has absolutely no idea how cars work, or knows and is just trying to say whatever he thinks will make me buy his product.

Either way, this guy has no business saying anything, and his poor feedback shows it....lol, this is one message on a negative feedback someone left him:

"Don't you know what dummy means? Maybe a dummy really don't know what it means."

So for all the stupid questions we get about buying something off ebay...I hope the noob searches and sees my post here and re-thinks it!
