Message Copper is 1083^C Vs. Platinum @ 1769^C.

I'd much rather have the cylinder shut down due to a spark plug stop firing rather than blowing a motor.
I dont see why people try to run Iridiums in a Turbo vehicle when the melting point is 667^C MORE than platinum... Thats just asking for a blown motor if it got to detonation temps. That cylinder would just keep firing away while the temps were way out of control.

I guess if someone has EGT probes etc.. it would be safer.. but alot of people dont.

Its just so much safer.. specially when trying to tune. I used to run them in my talon to keep anything "bad" from being a blown motor.

I just change the coppers out @ every oil change.

NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
