This ~can~ be a really really really bad idea. It will remove any wax protectants you may have applied and keep right on trucking through the clearcoat (ask me how I know) if you don't remove it in time. I actually have one spot in my fender that can barely be seen now (after extensive work) where degreaser began to eat away at the paint when I didn't catch it in time. Not trying to invalidate your post, just a recommendation to use a much milder product, preferably one designed for automobile paint cleaning.
