| I'll simplify the figures for determining the compression pressure at 15 psi of boost I believe static compression pressure on a tt motor is ~174 psi. That is the number you read when you do a compression test. (174 / 14.7 = 11.84 * (14.7 + 15)) The cylinder pressure is closer to 352 psi.
My other post was leading up to this question...... With a cylinder pressure of 352 psi and a air/fuel mixture of 12.5:1...... How do I calculate the output of the combustion process? I believe the result is in Btu/hrs which can be converted to h.p. The google and internets can't comprehend what I want. Thanx Geoff. I wasn't concerned with the vtc. They kick in ~3000 rpm to retard the valve timing and increase the c/r. I'm pretty sure the advanced valve timing, under 3k rpm, is utilized to lower the c/r to prevent detonation under low speed / high load operating conditions.
