| so not all new body-style Mustangs are called Eleanor, just like not all Trans Ams are called KITT. Trans Ams with the KITT package are called KITT. Mustangs with the Eleanor package (I think it's actually being called that) are called Eleanor. And if you compare the "new" Eleanor to the "old" Eleanor, you'll see a lot of similarities (such as the fascia, hood, fog lights, louvers, etc). As I said, they were both designed by Chip Foose, and he designed the new one to try to mimick Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. So the new one with the Eleanor package can be called Eleanor just like the Z32 can still be called a 300ZX after the Z31 - just because it's not the exact same doesn't mean it can't be a different generation of the car with the same name. So, in the end, think of the new "Eleanor" as the daughter of Gone In 60 Seconds "Eleanor," because without the first Eleanor, this new one wouldn't exist.
Putting eBay "performance" parts on your Nissan 300ZX is like putting Pep Boys wheels on your Cadillac Escalade... even people on welfare know better. |
