| but I beleive a second pump could be plumbed in electically using a simple relay. The fuel pump is supplied 12V + by the fuel pump relay. The FPC is controlled by the ECU which based on certain parameters switches the ground connection in the FPC to vary the grounded resistance which in turn varies the pump speed. When parameters warrant, battery voltage is supplied to the pump by a non-resisted ground. If you locate the lowest resistance ground from the FPC to the fuel pump you could wire in a relay. Supplying the relay with battery + voltage which is available at the pump and then connecting the negative side of the relay to the mentioned ground. That way when the FPC switches to the non-resisted ground that would pull the relay in and hence turn on the second pump. Ideally that's the only time you need the pump. That would remove the electrical load from the FPC and place it on the relay. Of course you would incorporate a fuse.
