Message It's plain and simple man. Power depends on the amount of air you can put into a motor when it comes down to it.

I'm not sure you've oversimplified that enough, could you possibly make it less intelligent?

If the motor is 3.0L in size and you are not forcing more air into it, or spraying it, then there is a limit on power...plain and simple.

Oops, you forgot about increasing rpms. Doh!

You can only make something so efficient and when it all boils down to it you still only have 3.0Ls to work with.

Doesn't seem to bother F1 racing teams, they produce over 300 hp/L.

The most efficient mortors that I know of (on street cars)

Street cars do not come equipped with mortars.

that are ~ 3.0L in size are NSX motors, and sure they do hit low 300s at the wheels, but they are also more effient than our Z motors and do you really only want 300rwhp?

Those are fundamentally different engines.

If you think you do now, then I can promise you that after you spend $20k on your NA motor to make 300rwhp and you still loose to a 350hp stage 3 TT with $1500 invested into it, then you will wish you didn't.

Why are you hating on his dreams bro? F1 engines make over 800 hp with less displacement than 3 liters. All he has to do is figure out how to make his engine into an F1 spec race engine, and he's good to go.

Why can't you respect that?

Recursively Yours,
Kenny...
