Message I towed this one from NC (almost 1700 miles one way) and I had 2 transmissions and a whole lot of other parts in the back of the 4Runner.

.

This one was towed from Iowa (about 1000 miles)

.

This one was towed from California (about 1200 miles)

.

This one was towed from Utah (about 800 miles)

.

This one has been towed several times all over the place.

So yes, the 4Runner shouldn't have a problem towing the front clip. For loading and unloading the clip, you'll need one of the big, heavy duty jacks. That's what I had to use for one of the Z's with a broken suspension. I then used my winch to get it on/off the trailer. If you have 2 jacks it will make your life a lot easier. Good luck.
