Message That is exactly why the title says "on an NA fuel pump" and the thread says "if that makes a difference." My car was converted to a TT in early 2003 and I had a shop do the swap for me. I didn't start browsing this forum or working on the car myself until about a year later. When I got the ECU I ordered it with a bunch of other parts for the conversion. I was told that the NA fuel pump was good for 15 psi (which it was), and with that being said, I assumed that the ECU was tuned for my car. Once the project was complete and I actually got to drive the car, I noticed that something was wrong when I raised the boost to 15 psi and that is when the car went to the dyno. No one told me at the time I ordered the ECU that it will need to be re-tuned because I am running an NA fuel pump.
I have read at least 2 posts from TT owners who were running lean with the Ashspec ECU when they moved to CO. In additional, at the 2005 CO Z meet when I mentioned that I was running the Ashspec ECU, several people told me to check the A/F ratio. I'm sure that if you took the time to do a quick search you will see that there are a few others who have had issues with the Ashspec ECU running lean at this elevation.
Now what makes you assume that I was bitching about the ECU program being improperly setup when I still have it on my car? I never posted anything negative about Ash's ECU. FYI, the 6 P's was posted on 01/12/05 and I have read that post before; my car had been a TT for almost 2 years by then. My post was in response to Shaun's "I can't think of anyone actually running one" comment. I don't see why you got all butthurt over this when it didn't involve you in the first place. Just because you have an Ashspec ECU doesn't make it the best.
