has taught me to stick with the companies that make the best product for what you want to do. I havent bashed sony, I've merely educated someone on reasons to avoid buying one and why another brand is better. I stated that if he wants quality pictures he should stick to a company that has consistantly produced quality sensors and optics. Which Sony doesnt. Based on your logic I cant have an opinion on Sony's product line simply b/c you think I havnet used it? ok right I have used it and I stilll stick by my statements. Canon and Nikon blow them away time after time. I'm not going to recommend a specific camera b/c everytime I do I get 100 emails asking "what should I buy!?" .. he should do his own research, look into Nikon/Canon and see what they offer in the same price range as what hes looking for that sony. Read the reviews by people that actually do these reviews for a living and actually know what their talking about (unlike yourself) What you state is mere opinion, coming from a biased side. I've used ALOT of digital and film cameras and know what to look for and what not to look for, what does what best and what company has consistantly been ahead of others.Feel free not to listen to me, but based on my portfolio I think I know a thing or two about cameras. just my 0.02 .. but he/you can feel free to buy a inferior product if you wish
