On the track at 95* ambient, I was starting to heat up when really pushing it hard. A couple times through the day in different sessions, I'd run up to 230*, even touching 240* a couple times. As soon as I backed off, it'd immediately start to come down, and on my cooldown lap, it'd drop to 200 or lower. The next day, the temp had dropped to around 70*, and I never got above 210ish. Weird thing is that while cruising, I run quite cool, only about 90 degrees over ambient. My fan clutch seems to be in good shape, but who knows. It's about the only thing I haven't done short of coatings, wraps, and clearing coolant passages in the block. I'm obviously generating a ton of heat while pushing it. I wonder if turbos on their last legs tend to generate excess heat from friction?
