Few nights ago, as I was about to go through a yellow light, a truck cut me off by taking a turn across my path from oncoming traffic. I hit the brakes and was caught in the middle of the intersection when the light turned red. Just then, a cop must have looked up from whatever he was doing in his cruiser, saw the red light and my shiny red Z going through it and went after me. As far as he was conscerned, I just plowed through a red light without stopping. $124 ticket. Seems kinda unfair for being caught in the middle of the intersection. I would have made it without even having to accelerate significantly had the truck not cut me off. It's not like I didn't see a red light and kept driving. Do I have a shot in court and if so, any advice?
