Message It will add to the stucture, that is undeniable. The question at hand is how much and is it significant. Significance is relative. The only certainty is that it WILL change the structure.

And then none of the above matters because it makes significant changes to its behavior in a crash. Can it be ok? Certainly if designed correctly. Will it be ok? Who knows... who wants to pay for crash testing.

Daily driving a TT is like ordering your favorite pizza for breakfast lunch and dinner. It's not healthy and eventually you will lose the magic of the meal. Sometimes you just have to have some meatloaf.
