Message So I was browsing the Skyline forums trying to learn about my new gts-4 and I came across some interesting info. Apparently a lot of Skyline owners cut their speed sensor wire (wire #53) going to the ECU. This supposedly removes the speed limter in the Skyline. The only reported downside is the fact that it prevents you from leaving the HICAS diagnostic mode if you ever need to use it. Does this work in the Z as well? I was just curious if anybody knows. Seems like a much cheaper fix than getting an all new ECU (if you are strapped for cash and only want to remove the speed limiter).

I AM NOT RECOMMENDING ANYONE TRY THIS WITHOUT RESEARCHING IT FOR YOURSELF!!! I'M JUST CURIOUS HOW SIMILAR THE TWO CARS ARE SINCE THEY ARE BOTH NISSAN SPORTSCARS.
