In road racing, you really don't want to let the motor slow you down. That's what the brakes are for. Dropping it into gear and letting the rear end slow you down is asking for trouble. If you can't rev match, you really need to work on setting up your lines, braking, and worry about the gear before or after the corners. I love my sport street, and have tracked it quite a bit in 3 years. But I also don't pound on the clutch. Just gotta be smoooooooove. :) That being said, I realize this is beyond the scope of the discussion :)
