"I wound up just getting new outer tie-rod's, as the rubber on both the ball-mounts were pretty much gone too. This also makes it easer to remove, as you don't have to worry about damaging the threads end if you are replacing it. Either way, you need to remove the end, so make sure to mark its location before removal. You will need an alignment afterward, but this will keep you in the ballpark. The boots run ~$19 each at Courtesy (similarly priced from Coz I am sure). The tie rod ends run about $40-ish each."
